POSITION REPORTS TO:   Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer

POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for leading the company's Financial Planning and Analytics functions, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, corporate financial and client campaign reporting.  This role will manage a wide range of financial analyses across broadcast and digital channels as well as business plans and operational models.  Directly support the SVP/CFO and other key finance personnel in the provision and use of key data, reports and insights.  Ensures that all analyses and reporting requirements are accurate, complete, and timely.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team that builds, integrates and maintains financial planning and analytical tools, including but not limited to our Data Warehouse, Adaptive Insights, and Domo.
  • Manage the design, development, maintenance and delivery of forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses and dashboards across broadcast and digital channels.
  • Provide strategic direction, insight and guidance relative to the business systems and analytical tools that maintain best practice and drive operational efficiency.
  • Actively research and participate with leadership in identifying, modeling and implementing new business opportunities.
  • Participate in the evaluation, implementation and project management of business system implementations and modifications.
  • Provide leadership in the architecture of data structures and systems integrations.
  • Build and automate BI reports and dashboards that allow the management team to get a clear snapshot of their operations with both leading and lagging indicators.
  • Business Acumen understand business drivers and maintain a systematic processes to analyze business problems and developing solutions.
  • Communications Build relationships and partner effectively across departments (e.g. Finance, Sales, Programming, Digital) to drive actionable insights for the business.
  • Provide analytics support (including reporting and ad hoc analysis) for a variety of internal stakeholders.
  • Build and train an effective analytics team, including employee engagement, adoption of best practices, and problem resolution. Review, prioritize, and assign work for analysts and staff.
  • Develop processes for evaluation and due diligence related to acquisition opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or other quantitative degree.  (Masters level degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive financial planning and/or analytics experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in directly leading and managing staff.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with ability to analyze multiple data sets and understand interrelationships.
  • Strong proficiency with Financial Planning, BI and Analytics technologies ideally Adaptive Insights, Domo, Excel, SQL.
  • Experience in financial and operational modelling.
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Proven ability to handle stress, multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
  • Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in and actively support Bonneville's EEO policy as it relates to recruitment, selection, evaluation, compensation, training, promotion and termination.  Includes being knowledgeable and conversant with the FCC EEO Rules effective March 10, 2003, and understanding the compliance issues that safeguard the station's FCC license.
