Bonneville International has been a leader in broadcasting for over 50 years, with a mission to build up, connect, inform and celebrate communities and families across our markets. We currently own and operate 22 radio stations in Seattle, Phoenix, Denver, Sacramento, San Francisco and Salt Lake City, along with the NBC Affiliate TV station, KSL TV 5, in Salt Lake.  We're proud of our history, and we want talented people to join us as we continue to grow!


KSL Radio is seeking a talented radio talk host who will make desired individual contributions to the KSL team's efforts by performing as an on-air personality who attracts target audience and builds rating in line with desired newsradio format. The host will discuss the issues of the day, relatable and compelling news, and matters important to family and community.

On-air shift Mon-Fri 9-10 PM.


  • Capture the attention of the audience with an emotional and informed presentation
  • Present topics and interviews that are compelling, informative and interesting and adhere to station's format philosophy
  • Select and develop story ideas for on-air presentation   
  • Collaborate with show producer to create performance ideas and audio opportunities
  • Contribute creative ideas on show development, topics, guests and format execution
  • Develop and maintain professional and technical capabilities in order to make full use of the tools and opportunities provided by the station and to expand personal contribution to the company
  • Work with sales department to develop client relationships and generate ideas and revenue
  • Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Consistently works hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines including odd shifts, weekends, holidays, evenings, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Three to five (3-5) years on-air experience with a proven record of on-air success, or equivalent
  • College degree in Journalism or relevant field preferred
  • Ability to conduct talk shows with charisma, knowledge, curiosity about the news of the day
  • Conversational, well-read, knowledgeable and articulate in current affairs
  • Ability to enunciate clearly, speak confidently, and interpret and read copy frequently
  • Ability to understand and execute format philosophy and work with a team of other professionals in creating a distinctive sound
  • Ability to operate studio equipment as needed
  • Desire and ability to innovate show segments and develop creative new performance ideas
  • Ability to work in a fast and concise manner under pressure with demonstrated ability to present live and ad-lib unscripted performance with continuity, meaning and clarity
  • In-house audition under the direction of KSL Program Director may be required


  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
  • Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
